Pasta and potato nuggets recipe

Pasta and potato nuggets is a delicious snack recipe. Prepared with boiled pasta and potatoes, enriched with spice powders. These are very easy to make. We add flatten rice flakes (poha) and little amount of all purpose flour to the boiled pasta and potatoes. Now, we use the mixture to make nugget shapes that are rolled on the bread crumbs. These nuggets are then deep fried.

Ingredients:

  1. Pasta: half cup
  2. Potato: 2, big
  3. Corn: 1 table spoon
  4. Poha(flatten rice flakes): 2 table spoons
  5. All purpose flour: 2 table spoons
  6. Red chilli powder: half table spoon
  7. Garam masala powder: half table spoon
  8. Pepper powder: 1\4th table spoon
  9. Coriander leaves: handful
  10. Salt: as required
  11. Bread crumbs: 1 cup

Procedure:

  1. In a pressure cooker, add 1 cup water, skin peeled and diced potatoes, corn. Place a small steel bowl in the middle of the cooker (above the potato pieces) and put pasta and little water in the bowl. Now close the cooker lid. Wait for 3 whistles.
  2. Once the pressure went out, remove the cooker lid. Now take the boiled potatoe pieces, corn and pasta into a bowl and smash  them lightly.
  3. Now add poha, flour, spice powders, coriander leaves and salt. Mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Meanwhile take small amount of potato mixture and make finger shape or ball size shapes. Roll them in the bread crumbs (till fully coated) and set a side.
  5. Now deep fry them in hot oil on a medium flame, till golden colour appears on both sides. Once done remove from oil and place them in kitchen tissue paper.

To make bread crumbs, you can coarsely grind the bread pieces or rusks.
