Veg keema pav recipe is a one-pot curry recipe with minced vegetables. It can be prepared with different vegetables along with grated paneer and cheese. Veg keema pav is one of the popular Mumbai street food. The reddish veg keema is so delicious with butter roasted pav.

We can also prepare a similar kind of recipe i.e. soya kheema recipe with soya granules. Just replace the grated veggies with soya granules for below procedure to make soya kheema.

How to make veg keema – First we saute the whole spices in a little hot oil, later saute finely chopped onions and ginger garlic paste till translucent. Then add five spice powders and saute well. Later add finely chopped tomatoes, saute till oil separates. Now add boiled and grated veggies and cook for 5 minutes. Then add grated paneer and cook for a while. Lastly, add grated cheese and mix well.

Ingredients
  • Onions: 1 big, finely chopped
  • Tomatoes: 2 medium, finely chopped
  • Carrot: 1 medium, boiled and grated
  • Potato: 1 medium, boiled and grated
  • Green peas: half cup, boiled
  • Paneer: 1 cup, grated
  • Cheese: half cup, grated
  • Red chili powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder: half tablespoon
  • Garam masala powder: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt: as required
  • Whole spices:
  • Star anise: 1
  • Cloves: 4
  • Cinnamon stick: 1
  • Cumin seeds: half tablespoon
Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a kadai. Add cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise, and cumin seeds. Saute well.
  2. Now add finely chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, salt and fry till onions translucent.
  3. Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala powder. Mix well and cook for 1 minute
  4. Now add finely chopped tomatoes and cook till oil separates. Then add cooked and grated vegetables and peas. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Now add grated paneer, cook for 1 minute. Finally, add grated cheese and mix well. Adjust salt and spice.
Notes
Adjust spicy and salt according to your taste.

Delicious vegetable Kurma is ready to serve. Serve with pav.
