Coconut ladoo with jaggery | how to make coconut ladoo

Coconut ladoo(coconut ball)/ nariyal ladoo is a famous indian sweet made with grated coconut and grated jaggery. Coconut ladoo with jaggery is a very healthy and tasty ladoo and easy to prepare.

Whenever I visit to my granny place, she is ready with coconut ladoo, because those are my favourite. She makes them so perfectly. And I will  be back home with full dabba (indian can) of ladoo’s. My friends are also fans of these ladoos. So now I am sharing you my garnny’s famous recipe.

You can make these ladoos for festivals or for offering to God. You can store these ladoos upto one month in an air tight container.

Coconut is fibre and protein rich. Jaggery is iron rich food. So these ladoos are healthy and kids will love it. You can also add dry fruits for more nutrition.I love to use  jaggery in most desserts, because it is tasty and healthy.

Tip: To store coconut fresh, keep it in deep freezer, whenever you want to use, keep the coconut in water for 10 -15 minutes. It will be fresh again.

Ingredients
  • Grated coconut: 1 whole coconut, fresh
  • Grated jaggery: 150 gms
Instructions
  1. Procedure:
  2. Heat the cooking vessel, add grated coconut and grated jaggery. Fry for 15 to 20 minutes on meduim flame.
  3. Cook till coconut jaggery mixture turns into golden brown, and moisture is completely evaporate, and mixture should be thick.
  4. Then cool the coconut jaggery mixture. Later apply some ghee to your palms, take some coconut jaggery mixture and prepare smal balls. Repeat for remaining coconut jaggery mixture.
